Patuna

Alan Wilkinson

“Our approach to farming is to keep it as natural as possible.”

Hi, I’m Alan Wilkinson from Patuna Farm in the lower end of New Zealand’s North Island. Patuna Farm is part of the larger Belfast Grazing Company, a family run business of 5 properties covering a total of 4,000 acres and finishing around 20,000 Quality Assured lambs per year for Ovation.  Our Belfast Grazing Company is proudly named after the Royal Navy light cruiser ‘HMS Belfast’ which my father captained between 1959 and 1961. In 1967 ‘Belfast’ was saved from its expected scrapping and preserved as a museum ship and today she sits as a popular tourist attraction permanently moored in London’s River Thames.
